May 2011

Emma had fun watching Zachary's last soccer game

We love to go to Trafalga in Lehi with our season passes

Happy Mother's Day!
We had a fun family visit to the cemetery where
Eddie's mom is buried.

Joshua went rock climbing with Uncle Canyon in
Rock Canyon a few times.

Joshua and Megan had another concert near the
end of the school year. School ended at the end of
May and Megan had a 4.0 this time - Joshua didn't
do as well in Geometry:)

I chopped off my hair and mailed it to Locks of Love!
It was very fun and made me feel years lighter:)
Megan cut her hair similarly a couple weeks earlier.

Eddie took us to a fun hotel in Park City as a surprise
for my birthday! It was great fun, and the hotel suite
was very large - nice to have a separate bedroom for
the kids and a full kitchen, dining and living room:)
We loved the heated pool and hot tubs with waterfalls!
The hot tubs felt great - it was a bit cold outside -
just look at the snow in the background!
Joshua, Megan and Eddie played volleyball.

We rode a trolley downtown in Park City and
visited a fun museum with great mining exhibits
and a prison below!

More birthday celebrations for me at home!
It's great to be 40!

We flew to Boston for an International Communications
Conference that Eddie had. Emma was so good on the
flight - she sat here until the seat's occupant came.
They both fell asleep!
Here we are by Boston Harbor before dining
at the Legal Test Kitchen (yum)!
We saw all kinds of great sights on the Freedom Trail
through Boston.
This is at Frog Pond in Boston Commons

Emma had fun on the subway!
After Church in Cambridge we strolled through
MIT . . .
and Harvard.

Emma had fun at the hotel pool!
We had fun on a Boston Harbor Cruise!
We saw the USS Constitution (old Ironsides) with
Bunker Hill next to it in the background.

We made it home safe and sound and had fun
at the park the next day!

Emma also went to her 9 month checkup and found
that she is really small for her age - 4%ile in weight
and 13%ile in height, but her head is 50%ile at least!
She is halfway weaned now, and will be given even
more food now - she loves all food! She is rolling, but
not crawling. She is babbling all the time, and is very
curious about everything. We all just love her!

April 2011

Our little cutie! Emma was 7 months old in April, said
"dada" and "mama", razzes her tongue, and laughs
a lot in her cute little way.

On April 2nd we had snow!

It snowed a lot in the mountains this month, so
Joshua and Eddie skiied a few times.

Eddie took Joshua, Megan, and Zachary
camping in Goblin Valley. They camped in a
tent and were a little cold! Emma was sick,
so I stayed home with her.

Dixon Middle School had an 80th anniversary.
They let us tour the basement at Dixon - this
is a boiler room where stories say students have
been locked in and died.

Joshua found Pop-Pop's picture in an old yearbook!

BYU made a new trail and stream and had a
rubber duckie race along it. Canyon joined us
for it, since he was staying with us until his
apartment opened up.

Joshua and Canyon had lots of fun rock climbing at
the Quarry and also going to Provo Beach Resort to
try surfing!

Provo Beach Resort also had a carousel.

I took Megan, Zachary and Emma to Lava Hot Springs
to join Stephanie and her kids and Pop-Pop there during
Spring Break. It was a little cold outside, but the water
felt great! Here's where some old hot pots were.

After BYU finals, Eddie took us all on an RV trip to
Goblin Valley, Natural Bridges National Monument,
the Goosenecks, and Valley of the Gods.
Goblin Valley (twice in one month for some people!)

Megan and Joshua found a deep cave that had
a time capsule in it!

Camping in our RV in Bluff

The Goosenecks

The Valley of the Gods - Eddie took Joshua, Megan,
and Zachary on a bike ride there.

I hiked with Emma during the bike ride.

We made it back from our trip in time for Easter -
Eddie, Kimberly, Joshua, and Megan all gave talks!
It was Joshua's and Megan's first time talking in
Sacrament Meeting, and they did great! Thanks to
Pop-Pop and Canyon for coming to see us there!
Emma loved our Easter egg hunt!

One of my friends came down for Women's Conference
at BYU, and her husband set up a surprise 40th birthday
party at our house with other friends who could make it.

Emma is just too cute in this outfit Kirk and Jodi
gave her - thank you!

Happy Birthday, Pop-Pop!

Snow again on April 30th!!

This time it got on our trampoline we'd set up.
