January 2011

Happy New Year!
Zachary just decided to read the Book of Mormon
on his own! He has already read several chapters!

Joshua is a great basketball player on the Jr. Jazz team
and on his Young Men's team.

Megan is doing great playing basketball with
the Young Women this year.

We had a fun family outing to the Mayan Restaurant -
we're watching the divers here.

Then we went to a movie - Emma's first time!

Megan played a flute solo of "I Am a Child of God"
with a friend accompanying her on the piano for
Young Women's New Beginnings night.
Joshua has started his Eagle Project - he is sitting on
his first bench he built (with his dad's help) - the benches
will be for the Stake Girls' Campsite.

Joshua and Megan went skiing with their dad for
Martin Luther King Day.

Zachary, Megan, her friend, and I went sledding
after it snowed - not a lot stuck, but it was still fun!

Joshua built a snowman in our backyard after it
snowed a little.

Joshua had fun on a Scout Klondike snow camping
trip - his dad went, too, even though he was sick!

December 2010

Happy Holidays!

Our beautiful Emma in her Christmas dress:

Megan and Zachary had fun at a BYU Christmas party
for families, while Eddie took Joshua to his Jr. Jazz
basketball game.
Eddie and I also enjoyed a couple dinner parties
in December with BYU and also a law firm.

At a friend's wedding:

Eddie's way of putting on Christmas lights:

We loved our fresh grand fir tree:

Joshua and Megan had a combined concert at
their junior high school.

It snowed during school break before Christmas, so of course
the kids enjoyed sledding - Megan brought her friend.

The kids thought it was funny to give Emma the
remote as she sat on the couch with them.

Zachary and Megan had fun ice-skating at a
friend's birthday party.

Enjoying a cousin's birthday party.
We had a fun "Feliz Navidad" Christmas Eve party
with aunts, uncles and cousins, and Pop-Pop.

At home we acted out the Nativity story with the missionaries.

The missionaries were great fun, and came over on Christmas, too.
We opened party crackers that the missionary from Wales brought
over, which had musical whistles inside that we played songs with.

We got to enjoy some time with Pop-Pop on Christmas morning.

Emma wearing "Baby's 1st Christmas" sleeper:

The day of the tragic fire which burned down most of
the Provo Tabernacle - Megan really wanted to see
it. We saw a picture of Christ that got burned all
around the painting, except on Christ's body!

November 2010

We saw Jon Schmidt at a benefit concert in Sandy -
here he is playing upside down and backwards!

Joshua is "kicking back" with Emma:)

We just can't get enough of Emma!

Joshua played a Jr. Jazz basketball game against
the mascots of several local teams - Cosmo is there!

Watch out, Joshua!

These masked people are Megan, Grandpa Larry,
and Joshua, who went skiing with Eddie at Alta.
We had a fun Carter family dinner at our house before
we left for California for Thanksgiving with the Copas.

This is our view of the road while driving to
California - the snowstorms were some of the
worst seen in years!

We had to stay in Reno since the pass over the
Sierra mountains was closed. We enjoyed the
hotel pool - Emma's first swim!

Eddie and I (and baby Emma) enjoyed our
15th Anniversary at a hotel in San Francisco.
The Macy's tree in Union Square.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed 6 Flags Marine World Park - this picture
is a little backwards, but go BYU Cougars!

We enjoyed the dolphin show.

Zachary had fun on this ride with Gramma.

Gramma took this nice picture of us by her tree
we helped set up for Christmas - Happy Holidays!
