We had a fun walk on the river trail

to the tree swing. Emma liked to swing

on my lap and throw rocks in the river.

Megan brought her friend. They walked extra

on the trail since they're practicing for the handcart

trek they're going on this summer in Wyoming.

Zachary loved the tree swing, and had fun

riding his scooter on the trail.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Eddie and I stayed at the Hine's Mansion for a

Valentine's getaway.

Eddie, Joshua and Megan went skiing on President's Day,

as well as on a weekday the next week - had to miss school.

We went to the park to play and feed the ducks

while the others were skiing.

Happy 7th Birthday, Zachary! He had a great time

with his friends at Nickel City to celebrate.

We also celebrated with the cousins on Sunday -

two other cousins had birthdays the same week!

Emma turned 18 months at the end of February - yay!

She is walking mostly on her own, but still likes to hold

onto something while walking (a hand, a stroller, a wall).

She is saying more words now and loves her brother,

Zachary, a lot - he always makes her laugh and hugs her.

She has grown a lot and is now 26 percentile in weight (up

from 6 percentile at 15 months), 37 percentile in height,

and 85 percentile in head size.

January 2012

At Red Butte Gardens in Salt Lake - we'll have to

go back when things are more in bloom in Spring

or Summer - it was still beautiful there.

A fun trip to Cabela's on a cold winter day.

We had a fun bike ride during a surprisingly

warm day in January.

We ended up at the duckpond park, but the pond

was frozen over.

There were still ducks to feed, though:)


We drove by some cute snow sculptures just

south of BYU.

I took Zachary and Emma sledding at Rock Canyon

Park after we finally got some snow this winter.

Eddie, Joshua and Megan went skiing that day,

and Eddie took Joshua on another day.

We had fun going to a model train show at

Thanksgiving Point. Zachary got to try running

one of the trains with a remote.

We brought a cousin along.

Later that night it snowed again, so I took

Megan and her friend sledding at Rock Canyon

Park. We couldn't pass up the chance - it was

Saturday and the snow might melt by Monday:)

Emma is starting to walk a little on her own.

She also loves to fold her arms several times

a day and waits until you say "amen" to unfold

them:)

We took down our mirrors in our bathrooms - they

were just big pieces of unframed glass. We bought

nice framed mirrors to replace them.

December 2011

Zachary and Emma enjoyed the BYU Christmas

party for kids.

We got a nice fir tree that smelled great - same

as last year.

Here's our new fireplace decorated for

Christmas - we bought it on Thanksgiving

morning when it went on a great sale.

Here's Zachary with a friend after

a magic show at his school.

Zachary had fun at Macey's getting his nose

painted, getting reindeer antlers, and especially

telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas.

Here's Joshua Creek performing at Eddie's

BYU Christmas dinner. We went there after

going to our ward Christmas party.

We had fun seeing the Festival of Lights in Spanish

Fork as a family.

Emma insisted on helping drive (we were going

about 5 miles an hour). :)



Megan played well in a Dixon Middle School concert.

Joshua played well at his Provo High concert -

this may be the last time he plays, since he

opted to get out of band class at the end of this

semester.


We had fun flying to and from southern CA for

our Disneyland trip. We enjoyed visiting Carleton

and Robyn's family and seeing their new house.

the Matterhorn is in the background - we all

enjoyed that ride, too, besides Emma.

Zachary loved the Buzz Light Year ride.

Megan and Zachary liked the spinning ladybug

ride at CA Adventure Park.

We had a fun time visiting Santa Barbara in between

our two days at Disneyland/CA Adventure Parks.

Joshua and Eddie had fun playing frisbee on the beach.

We all loved our bike ride on the beach - all on

the same bike.

New Year's Eve Activities:

She also loves her ball pit

Zachary loves his science kit activities

Joshua and Megan helped set up for the youth

dance, and Megan hung out at a friend's house

while Joshua went to the dance.

Here are the lanterns the kids at the dance let go

at midnight New Year's Eve - Megan joined in

this activity with her friends, too.
