May 2010

Eddie had a conference in Salt Lake, so we decided
to make a family trip up there and stayed at a hotel
with an indoor waterpark - fun!

Everyone had fun dunking the ball.

The tallest waterslide was really fun and not too
fast - even I wenton it a lot of times.

We had a fun dinner overlooking the waterpark.
Happy Mother's Day! I'm so grateful for the kids
I have, and for the baby who is coming soon!

Joshua and Megan did well in their piano concert!

Megan's band sounded great at their end-of-year
concert - she is getting really good at the flute!

Joshua had a great concert, too, and is
really great on the trumpet!

Joshua at a Court of Honor with his dad - he has
his board of review for his Life badge soon, and will
start working on his Eagle this summer!

Joshua, Zachary and Eddie had a lot of fun at
the Father and Son campout - their fire was a
popular spot since it was pretty cold.

Megan and I had a fun girl's night out and brought
one of her friends to a BYU Ballroom Dance Show
while the guys were on their campout.

We had a fun trip to Bryce Canyon, and stopped
to see Butch Cassidy's old family home on our way
down.

I had a fun birthday celebration at our hotel
(Ruby's Inn) by Bryce Canyon. I'm six months
pregant and feeling large!
We had fun at the hotel pool and hot tub.

There were many beautiful views in Bryce Canyon,
and we had fun hiking around Queen's Garden, etc.

Joshua finished 7th grade with a 4.0!

Megan had a fun 6th grade graduation and was
at the top of her class, too.

On Memorial Day we had a fun time with a picnic at a
park and a visit to the Orem Cemetery with our cousins.

We also visited the Provo Cemetery.

April 2010

Happy Easter!
We had a fun time at our grocery store,
Macey's, making bunny ears and hunting
for Easter eggs.

The kids also had a great time hunting for
eggs with their cousins and then watching
the first session of General Conference.

We went to the next three sessions at the Conference
Center in Salt Lake (Megan, Joshua, and Kimberly took
turns going with Eddie - one to each session).
We had a great time staying over at a hotel and
swimming in the pool there between and after
Conference sessions on Saturday.
Then the kids enjoyed a week of for Spring Break,
so we rented an RV and went to Cedar City on Thursday
where Eddie had a Conference, then went on to Zion's
National Park for a couple of days.
We couldn't resist a picture under the "Carter Carillon"
at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, where Eddie
presented a paper at his Conference - it was the first
time we all got to watch one of his presentations.
We enjoyed hiking up to the three Emerald
Pools in Zion's, and going under the waterfalls
you can sort of see behind us.
Joshua made it first to the highest
Emeral Pool and waterfall.
There is a squirrel you can barely see on the fence
near Megan. The squirrels were very friendly on
our hike to the Narrows (which were closed, but
we just enjoyed a beautiful hike).
We enjoyed stopping by the river. Zachary found
a good hiking stick close by.

We met up with some of our cousins that morning
and enjoyed hiking with them.
Joshua hiked all the way to the top
of Angel's Landing - we were praying
hard for him below!
Megan with her cousin at the Weeping Wall.

The kids found a nice frog near our campsite - icky!
We enjoyed campfires with our cousins' family.

We enjoyed playing with this cute cousin at our
house, who I think looks a lot like Joshua:)

Megan after a gymnastics performance.

Zachary after his last soccer game - he
scored a goal! (he isn't excited about
taking a picture, though)
We had a fun FHE activity going to Cabela's - their
fish are fun to see!
Megan is face to face with a curious fish.
There were fun animal exhibits to see, too.
We all had fun shooting at different targets there.
We enjoyed Eddie's cousin's art exhibit at BYU -
she is talented! She just graduated and sold her
first painting for $600.
